okay, i feel really terrible for having abandoned this blog for like MONTHS. i have been keeping up with requests though, so at least i haven’t totally disappeared.

When i first heard it, i thought it sounded familiar coz english lyrics seems to come up in my head. I realize that this is a cover song. One last kiss is actually an english song sang by the 1st Singapore Idol, Taufik Batisah, back in 2005.

TGUS members Han and park went to school together and in 2001 started forming the group [I think lee went to their school too?]. Last year they had an audition and picked member Song YoungMin and TGUS was born.
So, after 7 years, the group of 4 men released their first proper album, “God of Harmony.”
han and park “were active” [sang in?] the chorus for many popular singers, such as: se7en, wheesung, wanted, lee jung, and more.
TGUS had a lot of difficult times while working on/waiting for this first album. But the members did not abandon it; they stuck together to make a good album.
TGUS was criticized by some lady(Wang Biho? Don’t know who that is..) in a gag concert and after that occupied first place on internet searches. I think she made fun of their name by saying that “TGUS” sounds like the name of a family restaurant or something. But even though she was making fun of them, the viewers found out who they were, so it was good for them.
Starring in their music video for their title song “I believe in,” was former G.O.D. member, Son HoYoung. This also helped TGUS get more popular.

I think maybe they are trying to appeal to the chinese music insdutry, bc their last track is a chinese narration, and in this article they talk about china-related stuff. TGUS Inkigayo Debut had 99% favorable viewer criticism
TGUS was introduced through the part of the program called “POWER ROOKIES” and the netizens who watched the stage did not criticize more than 1%.
After only debuting for a month they got to be on Inkigayo’s POWER ROOKIE. TGUS made a good impression with their live performance.
The majority of viewers said for a new artist, the stage was unbelievable.
The Guys Using Sound, TGUS, Han Kwan Hui (tenor), Park Sang Jun (baritone), Song Young Min (Bass), and Lee Shi Hyeon (high tenor), are able to achieve perfect harmony formed by combining the success of their four voices.
TGUS got the nickname Boyz II Men of Korea because of their harmonization. They sang “I Believe In” which now has a double title, the korean one being “가슴이 시키는 대로.”

i watched them on inkigayo and i have to say i thought it was pretty good too. except that only 2 members had solo parts.. they sounded great though

also this is kind of old news? but they had a showcase in june for their first album and i found a couple of pics of that..

Ok :] downloaded their album.. my first impression about their music is.. background music. i started playing it and didnt even notice it was playing. but i think thats bc its calm and pretty. i didnt totally love them at first but after listening to all the songs, i am a fan :] make sure to check out #9 it features Jinho of SG Wannabe. and full album download is at the end of the post~

it doesnt show T.G.U.S. at all..so i was a bit disappointed.. but it does have english subs and even some english narration (because its off of arirang) so i guess that makes up for everything else :]

yes i did find another new group xD
i was checking out who is going to be on inkigayo 08/03 and i saw their name and didnt know who it was..so checked out their soompi thread..and they only have like 1 page bc they just put out their album in june. and im thinking they might be needing some international fans. so here is info about them. later ill get some downloads/lyrics.
